1980 Stern Flight 2000 SS

Rebuild

This Flight 2000 restoration has a lot of 3D printed parts, many of which I designed myself. Some of the parts I’ve designed for this Flight 2000 project include:

  • Two set of Drop Targets - one for the “1-2-3-4-5” lower bank and one for the set of 3 (with the blue Stern logo) in the upper right bank. I first printed them out in “tombstone” style as I thought that’s the way the originally came, but after looking at the official 1980 flyer for the game I realized they originally had the “hooded” style drop targets so I remade them.

  • Black covers for the cabinet rails that hold the playfield. Cleans up the interior nicely. Covers can be easily removed to revert back to a more factory look if desired.

  • Yellow Shooter Rod Bezel

  • Yellow Flipper and Credit Buttons

  • Yellow Leg Bolt Spacer Accents (8)

  • Yellow and Black Wire Clamps

  • Black Spinner Brackets (this was necessary after I accidentally broke one while trying to straighten it but then I wound up liking the look!)

  • Black Trough Ball Gate to prevent balls from popping out of the apron area during ball eject

  • Black Power Switch cover for the cabinet floor

  • Black Finned Posts, Spools, and Spacers for the playfield

  • Black Lamp Panel Door Trays for XPin LED score displays

  • Black Light Baffles for the lamp panel door.

If you’re interested in any pinball-related parts I’ve designed and want to print them yourself, they’re posted on www.printables.com.
